The decision to move and specifically near a body of water, was something I contemplated for years. A little voice in the back of my mind, always nagging at me. I often told it, that it couldn’t be done. That it wasn’t a simple thing. That while, at times, I understood it there was “nothing” I could do.

But the universe will throw stones at you, if you don’t listen to it. After my mom’s passing, as I was experiencing grief that I still can’t explain or even comprehend, it jolted me back into that same reality that my dad’s passing provided. Nothing is guaranteed. Life is too damn short. Take the risks.

Why is it always so simple and yet we sometimes wait a lifetime to give ourselves the things we want? Upon our death beds, we do the woulda, coulda, shoulda speech.

I wish both of them were here to witness my happiness. To be able to experience it with me. To know that simply being by a body of water is all I needed to slow down. It’s probably an unpopular thing to say, but the truth is that sometimes your dreams become a reality after experiencing the most excruciating pain. All I can now do is be grateful that I did it. ❤️

It’s here! My new series, where every week I ask you for your lingering ingredients left in your fridge and pantry. You know the ones that are about to go bad, in the hopes of inspiring you to get in the kitchen and use them.

Last week, you submitted all of your items and I attempted to use as any of them as possible. This crispy salmon bowl was a hit! *Just see my stories*

Sometimes a girl just needs to move her body and may I just say it always gives me energy and sparks a whole lot of joy.

I dare you try it! 😉 Happy Friday!
