I was thrilled when I got my hands on this digital cookbook! As a longtime follower of Kathleen’s recipes, I knew I was in for a treat. Having all these amazing recipes in one place is perfect for adventurous cooks like me. Among my favorites are the Mexican Street Corn Salad, Artichoke Roasted Red Pepper Salad, Pickled Red Onions, and, of course, the Crostinis. Each dish bursts with flavor and never fails to impress!

My first-ever Substack design mood board for @jewelzlopezenturadio’s powder bathroom is officially complete!

Seeing the progress photos side-by-side with the original mood board stopped me in my tracks. The joy I felt! I am utterly obsessed with everything.

The textures, the tones, the details. It all came together, and there’s just something so satisfying about watching a concept move from inspiration to reality.

Here is the before, the mood board (rendering), the in-betweens, and the final outcome! I’m in love!

An oldie but a goodie.

In case you need some wholesome content (sound on)…

When I went back to Puerto Rico to start recreating my mom’s recipes (recipes I lost when I lost her) for what I hope will become my cookbook, some moments cracked me open like I never imagined. On those days, there were plenty of tears.

But then, there were moments like this.

I was at my grandma’s house, filming as we cooked together so I wouldn’t lose these recipes a second time. One day, I stepped out of the room to grab something for the sorullitos recipe we were making, only to realize, as I checked the footage later, that my grandma, 87 years young, was fixing her hair, checking herself out on camera, and making sure she looked just right. It was legendary. ☺️

In that moment, it reminded me that sadness and joy can share the same space.

So, let yourself smile, even when you’re still in the trenches of grief. ❤️
