An oldie but a goodie.
In case you need some wholesome content (sound on)…
When I went back to Puerto Rico to start recreating my mom’s recipes (recipes I lost when I lost her) for what I hope will become my cookbook, some moments cracked me open like I never imagined. On those days, there were plenty of tears.
But then, there were moments like this.
I was at my grandma’s house, filming as we cooked together so I wouldn’t lose these recipes a second time. One day, I stepped out of the room to grab something for the sorullitos recipe we were making, only to realize, as I checked the footage later, that my grandma, 87 years young, was fixing her hair, checking herself out on camera, and making sure she looked just right. It was legendary. ☺️
In that moment, it reminded me that sadness and joy can share the same space.
So, let yourself smile, even when you’re still in the trenches of grief. ❤️

Also, this is for all my coffee ladies! 🤭 Sorry, don’t think I could ever get on board with Matcha. What about you?

If you are a design enthusiast and don’t have these design books, it’s time to take a look. I own them all, and they’ve been both inspiring and have contributed to elevating my space into a thoughtfully curated home. One that showcases my interests and is easy for guests to pick up and browse through.
Comment “books” and grab your new favorites + a few more for you to keep your eye on!

I love a good, fresh Caprese salad but I’ll be making this one on repeat and If you watch ‘til the end you will too! Juicy, bright, and creamy. Perfect for the summer season.
